Is Taylor Swift Giving a Surprise Performance at the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville?

And naturally fans wasted no time sleuthing, and promptly realized that the iconic Bluebird Cafe is closed for two days this week—leading to speculation that Taylor could be celebrating her honor at the venue. On top of that, Tay is celebrating 20 years since her debut album, so the timing of her being back in Nashville is significant!

However, it appears this rumor is just that. The Bluebird Cafe put out a statement on Instagram, writing, “Nothing like walking into the office on a Monday morning to headlines that make you start questioning your own reality. To all the Swifties eagerly celebrating Taylor Swift’s historic induction into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame, trust that we are celebrating right with you!”

They then added, “As much as we wish we had a Taylor-sized surprise up our sleeves, this week’s private event closures are for an unrelated filming that happened to fall on the same week. For the safety of the crew and all of the hopeful fans, we wanted to share this with you! Keep the bluebird in your hearts and join us in celebrating 20 years of Taylor Swift. But don’t show up tomorrow (please).”

Bottom line: Taylor will not be performing at the Bluebird Cafe this week. However, it wouldn’t be shocking if she celebrated her induction and 20th anniversary in some way, so keep your eyes peeled!

Amy Duggar King is speaking out about her embattled cousins, Josh and Joseph Duggar.

The cousin of the 19 Kids and Counting stars says Josh ought to “just rot” in prison, while she hopes that “justice is served ice cold” in Joseph’s case.

Josh is serving a 12.5-year sentence for possessing child sexual abuse material, while Joseph Duggar faces a child endangerment case in Arkansas, and a child molestation case in Florida.

The daughter of Deanna Duggar — the sister of 19 Kids and Counting patriarch Jim Bob Duggar — has blunt words for two of her cousins who’ve gotten on the wrong side of the law. Speaking with Carrie Berk on Monday’s episode of Fire Chats: The Mindfire Pod, the author and content creator offered her opinions on Josh Duggar, who is currently serving prison time on a child sexual abuse material possession conviction, and Joseph Duggar, who has been charged in two separate cases with child endangerment and child molestation.

Regarding Josh’s repeated attempts to appeal his conviction, Amy offered, “Give it a rest already... I find it comical at this stage of his sentence. Like just rot in there.” And regarding the alleged victim in Joseph’s Florida child molestation case case coming forward to tell her story, Amy said, “I’m so proud of her for speaking her truth, because it is so hard to do... That kind of thing gets shunned. You get shunned for telling the truth. So I hope justice is served ice cold.”

The Duggar family was catapulted into the national spotlight when a reality show centering on their lives, originally titled 17 Kids and Counting, premiered on TLC in 2008. By the time the series wrapped after 10 seasons in 2015, Jim Bob and his wife, Michelle, had two more children, with the show’s title evolving in suit from 18 Kids and Counting to 19 Kids and Counting.

TLC pulled the plug on the series in May 2015, when Josh, the eldest son of the devout Independent Baptist family, was accused of having molested five young girls — some of them his sisters. Josh publicly stated that he was “deeply sorry” for having “acted inexcusably” with regard to what he termed “my wrongdoing.” The events were alleged to have occurred between 2002 and 2003, when Josh was 14 to 15 years old.

A spinoff, Jill & Jessa: Counting On, which centered on siblings Jill Duggar Dillard and Jessa Duggar Seewald, and featured all of the family members except Josh, immediately picked up where 19 Kids and Counting Left Off. The series ran from 2015-2020, until Josh was charged with receiving and possessing child sexual abuse material. He was convicted on those charges in 2021, and sentenced to 151 months in prison without the possibility of parole in 2022.

Joseph, meanwhile, was arrested in Florida in March on charges of lewd and lascivious molestation of a victim less than 12 years old and lewd and lascivious behavior conducted by a person 18 years or older. He was accused of asking an underage girl to sit on his lap during a 2020 family vacation and allegedly “[grazing] her genitals.”

A handful of days later, Joseph and his wife, Kendra Duggar, were arrested on a separate set of child abuse charges. Joseph has been charged with four counts of second-degree endangering the welfare of a minor and four counts of second-degree false imprisonment.

“I grew up with this person and I loved this person, and I thought I knew this person,” Amy said of Joseph on The Mindfire Pod. While not an immediate member of Jim Bob and Michelle’s family, she frequently featured on both 19 Kids and Counting and Counting On. “Even though we haven’t spoken in, you know, five, six years now, you just assume that they’re doing great. You just assume that they’re they’re happily married, they love their kids, it’s a wonderful environment.”

“It breaks your heart to find out that that might not be the case,” Amy continued, clarifying that she is not in touch with Joseph, Josh, or Kendra Duggar. “It’s honestly not worth it. I have nothing to say to any of them right now,” she explained.

Amy also claimed that she reached out to Joseph’s alleged victim, making it “very clear where I stand, and she was very appreciative. I’ve never experienced the things she’s experienced, but I know she’s such a young girl, and all eyes are on her. It’s scary. I told her I’m so proud of her because she didn’t have to speak out. She could have stayed quiet and given him all the power. Instead, she realized what was wrong and what needed to be said, and she wasn’t scared. I wanted to encourage her as she goes forward in this trial: Don’t let up. Give it all you’ve got. Be a little spitfire and speak your truth.”

Natalie Portman is breaking her silence after welcoming her third baby earlier this year.

The actress, 45, spoke with Harper’s Bazaar for a new cover story published on Monday, Oct. 26, and in a rare comment about her family, said she is “full of wonder and joy at this magical little human.”

“It gives me a whole new attention to my big kids too, as I am reminded of how recently they were these little fresh creations and how quickly they’ve blossomed into incredible humans with their own amazing personalities and senses of humor and ideas,” Portman went on to say of giving birth to her third baby.

Alongside her third baby, her first with partner Tanguy Destable, Portman is mom to daughter Amelia, 9, and son Aleph, 14, whom she shares with ex-husband Benjamin Millepied.

In September, a source told PEOPLE that Portman welcomed her third baby in Paris in August. PEOPLE reached out to a rep for the Academy Award winner for comment.

This past April, the Thor: Love and Thunder star shared with Harper’s Bazaar that she was expecting her third baby.

“Tanguy and I are very excited,” she told the publication at the time. “I’m just very grateful. I know it’s such a privilege and a miracle.”

In the interview, Portman shared that she felt a deeper sense of gratitude during her pregnancy. She said her pregnancy was more of a “calm” experience this time, adding she’s cherishing every moment.

“There is a gratitude that when you’re young, you don’t necessarily grasp,” she said. “And there’s a calm and knowing myself: who I want to spend time with, what kind of energy I want around me that makes the experience so beautiful every day. And knowing it’s probably the last time, I cherish every moment.”

PEOPLE confirmed Portman’s romance with Destable in March 2025 after they were linked by French outlet Voici.

Back in January, while recalling her viral summer moment joining Role Model on stage during one of his shows, she shared with host Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon that her son Aleph developed his own fashion line, titled Vanté.

“My son, my 14-year-old, started a clothing line called Vanté. I’m very proud of him,” she said. “He really just did it all on his own. And so I wore one of his shirts on stage. So I just kind of felt like a banner for him. It was very exciting.”

Actors on the Verge of Losing SAG-AFTRA Health Insurance Find Support via ‘One Job Away’ Instagram Campaign: ‘The System Is Not Working’

Cheyenne Jackson has received 'hundreds' of submissions in the less than 24 hours since launching a new initiative to help union members earn minimum qualifying earnings.

Cheyenne Jackson has acted in more than 40 television series, including “Imperfect Women,” “American Horror Story,” “Call Me Kat,” “Glee” and “30 Rock,” as well as several movies.

But last year, he was close to losing his SAG-AFTRA health insurance because he didn’t meet the qualifying annual minimum of about $28,000 in earnings. The insurance also covers his husband, Jason and their two kids. “I was one gig short of getting my insurance,” Jackson tells me. “We really rely on the SAG insurance. It’s really good.”

He reached out to his friend, “Matlock” star Kathy Bates. He needed to make $6,000.

“I called her, and I was like, ‘Listen, I’m in trouble and I could really use your help. Is there anything I could do on “Matlock”?’” Jackson recalls. “She’s like, ‘Give me a second. Just give me a minute.’”

Bates called him back in less than five minutes. “She’s like, ‘I have good news and bad news for you. The good news is, I got you a role on “Matlock.” The bad news is, you have five lines and you don’t have a name,’” Jackson says. “I was like, ‘Sign me up! No ego amigo here.’ I played no-name detective. I searched a crime scene and I said, ‘Hey, Sergeant, we got some blood over here.’”

View this post on Instagram Jackson is now paying it forward by launching the “One Job Away” initiative. Started just yesterday, he’s posting headshots and bios on his Instagram feed of actors who are on the verge of losing their SAG-AFTRA health insurance.

With 741,000 Instagram followers, Jackson says he has received “hundreds” of submissions in less than 24 hours. “The bigger conversation is just the way that residuals and SAG are set up,” Jackson says. “I make OK money on residuals, but a lot of that residual does not go toward your SAG dues. You’re essentially starting over every year.”

In other words, Jackson says, “An actor can make $500,000 one year, but when they don’t make much the next year, the $500,000 doesn’t help with the following year’s health insurance minimum.”

He continues, “Journeyman actors and major people who have been the leads of several shows and who have been around for years and years, all of a sudden are, because there are so many fewer jobs and the pay is so much lower, now scrambling for one little guest spot to try to keep their insurance.”

Among the 22 headshots Jackson has posted is Juston Graber, who is just $198.48 shy of qualifying for SAG-AFTRA insurance. Miho Saito is only short $402. Others include Independent Spirit Award nominee Trace Lysette, original “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy” star Jai Rodriguez and Daniel Franzese of “Mean Girls” fame.

Jamie Lee Curtis has reposted some of Jackson’s “One Job Away” posts to her 6.7 million Instagram followers .

Jackson isn’t calling out SAG-AFTRA leadership. “I don’t want to play a blame game,” he says. “What I do want to do is start engaging in a bigger conversation because clearly the system is not working right now.”

“Drake & Josh” actor Drake Bell recently blasted the union after finding out he did not qualify for its insurance.

On his Instagram Story on Oct. 13, Bell posted a screenshot of the SAG-AFTRA health plan website that says, “You do not qualify for Health Plan coverage at this time. Your reported covered earnings from July 2025-June 2026 did not meet minimum eligibility requirements, or you did not qualify other eligibility rules.”

The webpage says that Bell has earned $17,480.53 and that he needs $11,452.47 more to qualify by reaching the $28,933 required for the SAG-AFTRA Health Plan.

Bell wrote over the screenshot, “Do not become an actor. Do not join SAG. You can work for 35 years and they still say [middle finger emoji].”

In September, “Atypical” actor Jack Haven and “Princess Diaries” star Heather Matarazzo both revealed that they wouldn’t qualify for health insurance if they didn’t get more work soon.

Heidi Klum is getting into the Halloween spirit one week early with a sneak peek at her latest costume.

The model shared a photo of a frightening prosthetic on Instagram.

Fans are already sharing their guesses about what Klum has in store for her yearly Halloween bash.

Halloween is one week away, and Heidi Klum is already terrorizing the masses with her latest costume.

The supermodel, known for going above and beyond with her elaborate (and often horrifying) costume creations, has unveiled a sneak peek at this year’s outfit. The image is, unsurprisingly, textured, strange, and deeply confusing.

“What’s my costume?” Klum captioned an Oct. 24  Instagram post, adding a series of spooky Halloween emojis. “One week to go….#HeidiHalloween.”

The photo itself is a close-up of a colorful prosthetic, which shows several different shapes and colors molded together in a design that resembles a coral reef just as much as it resembles human organs and mushrooms. Needless to say, fans are struggling to figure out what exactly Klum has in store for All Hallow’s Eve.

“Coral reef. Inspired by St Barth’s,” one user guessed, referencing the restoration efforts in the Caribbean.

“The mushroom zombie from The Last of Us,” posited another. Several commenters backed this guess, pointing specifically to the Clicker zombie design in the HBO adaptation of the hit Naughty Dog game.

“Looks like organs,” one fan remarked, with another user noting, “They look like internal organs that were torn into halves.”

Other guesses had commenters point to The Substance, The Little Mermaid’s Ursula, SpongeBob, and the Demogorgons from Stranger Things. Alas, only time — or Klum herself — will reveal the truth.

Klum has offered very few hints about her costume in the past few weeks, but did promise Parade in September that it would be “bloody.” She has otherwise been pretty tight-lipped, but told the outlet that she is particularly proud of the costumes in which she appears utterly unrecognizable.

“I loved when I made myself really old,” she said. “That’s a lot of fun. I turned myself into someone who was like 90. I also loved being an alien. I was really kind of a robot alien. I was red with purple hair, and I was on stilts, so I was like extra tall.”

Last year, Klum pulled out all the stops for her transformation into Medusa. The model called upon a team of stylists to turn her into the creepy and scaly figure of Greek myth. In the lead-up to Halloween night, she detailed the process, giving fans time to guess at her costume: the heavily wrinkled green prosthetics, green contacts, and frightening fangs eventually made sense when it all came together to show Klum’s Medusa in her final form.

‘Nobody Wants This’: The True Story Behind the Netflix Series

Netflix’s latest drama series Nobody Wants This dropped its third season this week, and it’s got us deep in our feels. The unlikely romance story between sex podcaster Joanne (Kristen Bell), who is notoriously unlucky in love, and Rabbi Noah (Adam Brody) is funny, heartwarming, and crucially the first rom-com in a while to not cringe us out.

It turns out the series is, in part, inspired by the real-life love story between its creator Erin Foster and her husband, Simon Tikhman. Erin, music producer David Foster’s daughter, has described the show as a “love letter” to her marriage to Simon and began working on it in May 2023—aka when the project was originally greenlit by Netflix.

Erin Foster, 42, is the daughter of music producer David Foster and former model Rebecca Dyer.

Along with her sister Sara Foster, Erin has worked in TV for a number of years. She began her career in acting with roles in Gilmore Girls , CSI, and The O.C. , which *also* starred Nobody Wants This cast member Adam Brody.

She was also a writer on Ryan Murphy’s The New Normal series and cocreated the show Barely Famous with Sara.

Erin and Sara also have a clothing line together called Favorite Daughter and a podcast titled The World’s First Podcast .

Nobody Wants This is, in part, based on the love story between Erin and her current husband, Simon.

Simon is a record label owner (not a rabbi), and the pair began dating in 2018 after meeting at the gym, with Simon asking Erin to be his girlfriend in June of that year.

One year later, the couple announced their engagement via Erin’s sister Sara thanks to a picture she posted on Instagram with *that* ring alongside the caption, “Ladies, I guess the moral of the story is stay crazy because apparently it gets you a ring.”

Just a few months later, the couple tied the knot on New Year’s Eve in a traditional Jewish ceremony in Nashville. Oh, and they recently welcomed their first child together, a daughter named Noa.

Erin ended up converting to Judaism ahead of her wedding to Simon, which partially inspired the idea for Nobody Wants This . The series echoes similar issues the couple ran into when they first started dating as they tried to navigate building a relationship with their differing lifestyles.

“We didn’t come from similar backgrounds,” Erin explained about dating Simon on her podcast. “He came from a much more traditional place. I came from a more unconventional place. When we got together we were like, ‘How’s this gonna work?’”

Erin based Noah’s character off Simon, explaining on The World’s First Podcast that she wanted to create someone who was, “emotionally available, chivalrous, old-fashioned...but also really funny and confident.”

Additionally, there are other moments from the couple’s real-life love story that also made it into the series—namely, the sunflower moment.

In season 1, episode 6 of Nobody Wants This , Noah rushes to meet Joanne’s parents and turns up in gym gear with a bunch of sunflowers in hand, which causes Joanne to get the ick. In real life, Simon brought sunflowers when meeting Erin’s mother, which caused her to question the relationship , as she thought it was a “weakness” for someone to care that much about it.

However, the key difference between the series and the true story is that, while in real life, Erin wanted to convert to Judaism, Joanne is much more on the fence, which is the primary conflict of the show.

The Hocus Pocus actress embraced an aquatic theme while making a special appearance at the annual Hulaween Gala in New York City.

Midler shares the 39-year-old actress with her husband Martin von Haselberg.

Bette Midler cemented her status as the queen of Halloween while running amok, amok, amok with her lookalike daughter Sophie in New York City. On October 23, the Hocus Pocus actress had fans seeing double as she coordinated with her mini-me on the red carpet in gold netted costumes.

In photos shared by the Daily Mail, Midler—who shares her only daughter with husband Martin von Haselberg—could be seen getting into character as she attended NYRP’s Hulaween Gala. In a nod to the Hulaween on Horror Reef: Monsters of the Deep theme, the 80-year-old actress leaned into the aquatic memo with a shimmering floor-length gold gown, which she topped with a matching gold cape crafted from gilded netting and shimmering decorative sea shells as well as starfish.

Beaming as she posed next to Sophie on the New York City red carpet, Midler added a pop of color to her liquid gold gown with a pair of dark red opera gloves and a matching red swan-inspired fascinator with a netted veil. She styled her silver hair back into a bun with her full front bangs out, framing a full glam moment with a smoky eyeshadow, ruby red lipstick, and sculpted cheekbones.

Meanwhile, Sophie—who’s followed in her mom’s footsteps with an acting career of her own—made a statement with a gold netted look of her own, which she embellished with starfish as well as decorative pieces of trash like plastic cartons and bags.

Aneha Releases a Statement Defending Her Treatment of Cam on ‘Love Is Blind’ Amid Fan Backlash

Netflix The second batch of episodes for Love Is Blind season 11 may have just dropped, but already, I’m feeling like the Boston season may have totally struck out when it comes to successful matches. One couple in particular that I have very little hope for is Aneha Singh and Cam Halloran, who share an appreciation for dad jokes...and very little else.

From their very first face-to-face meeting (which was...awkward, to say the least), fans have criticized Aneha for her treatment of Cam, who broke things off with Malaine Thorpe in order to commit himself to Aneha. And now—in response to fans who’ve suggested that Aneha is merely stringing Cam along—Aneha has addressed the backlash on Instagram.

“I want to take a moment to clarify something that I feel has been misunderstood,” she began her statement. “My family and I have always been incredibly accepting of people from all walks of life, regardless of their race, religion, or cultural background. Cam being white or not being Hindu was never an issue for me or my family.”

As a reminder: In the latest episode drop, Aneha revealed that her family did not want to meet her fiancé and would instead be keeping their distance from the process.

In her statement, she explained, “Navigating cultural traditions, family expectations, and personal relationships can be nuanced, especially when you’re trying to honor where you come from while also following your own heart. Those conversations were never about exclusion. They came from a place of love, respect, and wanting to bring two worlds together.”

She concluded with, “I understand that sharing my story on television opens me up to different interpretations and opinions. But I hope people can recognize that cultural pride does not equate to prejudice, and that navigating these conversations does not mean rejecting someone for being different.”

During a conversation with Tudum , Aneha also addressed the critical comments she made to Cam during the reveal. “He just looked completely different from what I was thinking,” she confessed. “Was I initially 100 percent attracted to him? No, I’m not going to sugarcoat that. But I fell in love with this man talking to him and accepted his proposal. He’s so beautiful on the inside, and attraction can grow.”

Oh, and when she told Cam that he needed a “fuckboy haircut” and a piercing? She said she didn’t really mean that. “People are like, ‘This is Love Is Blind , not Build A Boy.’ Valid, fair, heard. I get it,” she told Tudum. “I probably wouldn’t have said those comments, to be honest. I was just trying to be flirty. I was trying to be cute, if anything, but it did not come off as cute.”

Guess we’ll see next week whether these two can get past their differences.

“ You Can See Everything ” audiences were expecting to be taken aback for a variety of reasons when watching the documentary, but a full-frontal shot of Elizabeth Holmes’ partner Billy Evans wasn’t something many foresaw experiencing in the theater. Lance Oppenheim , who co-directed the buzzy A24 doc with Nathan Fielder , has now revealed just how that jarring shower scene came to be — and why Evans might have been fine with revealing all to begin with.

“So I don’t know what that means, but I feel like there’s enough stuff in there that gives me the impression that maybe he was excited that people could see everything and that there was full access, I guess,” Oppenheim continued. “But it really beats me, honestly. We were in the car ride on the way back from the gym, and I said to Billy, ‘We will give you some time to shower.’ And Billy responded, ‘Want to film me showering?’ I offered to film him in a way that could avoid seeing his genitals, but Billy said he didn’t care about being seen naked.”

Ahead of the film’s release earlier this month, Evans admitted he hadn’t seen the doc while appearing on the “All-In” podcast. “I haven’t seen it. I might think this is the dumbest thing I have ever done,” Evans said on the podcast, admitting that Holmes “looks insane” in the trailer.

Before hitting theaters on Oct. 16, “You Can See Everything” had been quietly in the works from Fielder and Oppenheim for more than three years. The doc offers an unhinged look at the Theranos founder a month before she began an 11-year prison sentence for defrauding investors.

In addition to being eligible for best documentary feature at the 99th Academy Awards, the film will also be submitted across the board as seen on A24’s awards site: best picture, director, production design, cinematography, costume design, film editing, makeup and hairstyling, sound and original score.

The film has been a major hit with audiences, bringing in $15.6 million from 855 theaters in its opening weekend (the best start for a nonmusical documentary in 20 years) and adding another $19.5 million after expanding to 2,655 venues for its sophomore outing .

JoJo Siwa told PEOPLE exclusively that she will never give up wearing one specific accessory

Siwa also shared that she and her mother, Jessalynn, are equal partners in their JoJo Bows business, which now includes a line for adults

The star has previously opened up about her personal style, revealing that she is often drawn to looks that inspire questions and curiosity

JoJo Siwa says there’s one very specific style accessory she just can’t quit.

The singer and dancer, 23, caught up with PEOPLE exclusively at the Industry Dance Awards, hosted by Dancers Against Cancers — a nonprofit that helps individuals and families within the dance community who have been affected by the disease — in Los Angeles on Wednesday, Oct. 21.

During the conversation, PEOPLE asked JoJo about her hair accessory brand, JoJo Bows. The company — which she started with her mom and fellow Dance Moms alum, Jessalynn Siwa, a decade ago — sells hair bows inspired by the pop star’s longtime signature hairstyle.

“I got to give that credit to my mom,” JoJo said of the company. “She runs that business, and we’re 50-50 in it. And she does such a great job with it.”

As for whether she thinks bows will ever not be a part of her life?

“Never!” she told PEOPLE.

“I think especially now that we have the evolution, the Joelle Bows,” she continued, referring to the brand’s new line of bows for adults.

“I got one on even tonight. I’m stuck with them!” she added with a smile.

JoJo and her mom started selling handmade bows to local hair salons beginning when the star was just 4 years old, according to Business Insider.

The signature oversized hair bows became a merchandising phenomenon following JoJo’s rise to fame on Dance Moms. The mother and daughter initially partnered with Claire’s and later Nickelodeon to launch a line of colorful accessories, with more than 50 million bows sold worldwide by 2019, per the outlet.

In recent years, however, JoJo and her mother sought to regain greater creative control over the brand.

“It really got out of my control,” JoJo told Business Insider. “It kind of just became like, ‘Oh, JoJo, here’s your bow.’ And it’s like, ‘Wait, but I didn’t really have anything to do with this bow.’ ”

Now, the star says she picks the color and design for every single new bow. She also regularly drops new styles on her Instagram — all of which can be purchased from her official store.

And while JoJo said bows will always be a part of her life, she previously admitted to having some serious anxiety when she decided to stop wearing them exclusively.

“I just had my 18th birthday, and it was right around my birthday that I realized, ‘I kinda wanna do my hair different today,’ ” she recalled during a 2021 interview with Adam Mosseri, the head of Instagram.

“It just felt like the right time, and to do something different and to do something maybe a little bit more mature or a little upgrade,” she explained.

JoJo — who had opened up about her sexuality and her attraction to women the previous January — said telling her mom she wanted to change up her style was “surprisingly harder” than coming out.

“The bow is still a part of my life,” she added. “I still love bows — I forever will. They’re who I am, but maybe I won’t wear it every day.”

The star opened up about her personal style philosophy in September 2024 on an episode of PEOPLE’s Rules for Life series, sharing that her goal is often to make heads turn on any given day.

“I think for me, when I’m finding a style, it’s ‘How can I be so messed up, so weird, so whack?’ ” she said, adding that she hopes people will ask, “Why is she wearing that? What is she doing? What is she wearing now?”

“It’s a fun game for me to play,” JoJo said.

The actress spent six years as Evelyn Harper, the mother of Charlie (Charlie Sheen) and Alan (Jon Cryer), on the CBS sitcom. She recently revealed that part of the reason she left the show was due to the small paycheck.

“They never paid me very well on that show. I was paid on that show what I had made on a series like eight years before or something,” Taylor said on the “ Alchemy with Anthony Mason ” podcast. “And I got four Emmy nominations, and they never gave me a raise. Taylor was nominated four times for supporting actress during her time on the sitcom. After the sixth season, she declined to renew her contract and instead returned occasionally as a guest star. Popular on Variety

“I stopped being under contract. So, in other words, they would say, ‘Can you do a guest appearance at the end of March?’ And I would say, ‘No, I cannot,’” she said. “I only did it if I wanted to do it.”

Taylor said the producers were “astonished” by her decision, but she appreciated having flexibility in scheduling.

“I loved a lot about that show, but they were not full of courtesies,” Taylor added. “In any case, when the six years were up, I said, ‘I don’t want to be on a contract anymore, but I will visit the show occasionally if you want.’ I mean, I did play the boys’ mother.”

The actress said the team thought she was negotiating and told her they could not afford to pay her more. “I said, ‘You could actually pay me the cost of this building, but don’t bother because I don’t want to continue on under contract,'” she said. “And they said, ‘But we can’t afford to give you more.’ I said, ‘I’m cool with it. I just will come back as a guest from time to time.'”

“Two and a Half Men” ran for 12 seasons from 2003 to 2015. In 2011, Sheen left the show after public struggles with substance abuse.

‘I Play Rocky’ Star Anthony Ippolito on Becoming Sylvester Stallone and Acting Opposite a Dog: ‘He Wasn’t a Huge Fan of Me’

Anthony Ippolito had to do more than nail Sylvester Stallone’s signature voice to play him in “ I Play Rocky .”

He also had to transform his skinny physique to one with bulging muscles.

“It had its moments for sure. I was being tested,” Ippolito told me Saturday at the AFI Fest “I Play Rocky” screening in Los Angeles. “It’s like a consistency thing, though. As Ippolito previously told Variety ’s Clayton Davis, he spent nearly two years bulking up from about 150 pounds to roughly 180 while training at Gleason’s Gym in Brooklyn. Popular on Variety

“It happened over time, but a couple of people were like, ‘What’s going on?’” Ippolito recalled. “They didn’t necessarily know I was doing the prep, and they were like, ‘What’s going on here?’ I was like, ‘I’ve been going to the gym, been eating.’”

“I Play Rocky,” directed by Peter Farrelly, follows Stallone’s journey to get “Rocky” made in 1976. Now considered one of the greatest films ever made, the odds were way more against Stallone than with him when he first pitched the movie in Hollywood.

AnnaSophia Robb plays Stallone’s first wife, Sasha, in “I Play Rocky.” Stephan James portrays Carl Weathers. Rounding out the cast are Kiki Seto, P.J. Byrne, Matt Dillon, Tracy Letts and Jay Duplass.

If jitters on the first day of filming weren’t already enough to contend with, Ippolito’s first scenes were with a dog playing Stallone’s pooch Butkus. Stallone famously sold Butkus for $40 when before he found fame because he couldn’t afford to feed him. After selling the “Rocky” script, he bought him back for $15,000.

“I hadn’t met that specific dog until like the day prior to shooting,” Ippolito said. “He didn’t happen to take a liking to me until a couple of days in. When you give him enough treats, then he started to warm up. But at that point he was, you know, a 140-, 160-pound dog [and] wasn’t a huge fan of me, so it kind of just added to it. When the 'Wicker' Movie Will Be Available to Stream and How to Watch

Black Bear // Everett Has Wicker tempted you to the movie theater this October? Or, at the bare minimum, has it tempted you to look up when and where Wicker will be streaming? Here’s what we know and what we can guess about how to weave Wicker into your next (or your next, next, next) movie night at home.

Based on Ursula Wills’ short story “The Wicker Husband,” the movie is about a woman played by Olivia Colman and a man literally made of wicker played by Alexander Skarsgard . The buzz is buzzing, partially because romantasy is so popular right now, and partially because the premise raises so many logistical, moral, and anatomical questions.

Wicker was released in theaters on October 23, 2026. There is a popcorn bucket , FYI. That’s an incentive, yes?

The distributer, Black Bear Pictures, is also behind movies like Nyad, Sing Sing, Train Dreams, I Want Your Sex, and Wildwood . Some of those films are streaming on Netflix, so that’s a good educated guess, but some others on Amazon or other services. We’ll have to wait and see.

Typically, a new movie drops on a streaming service 3-4 months after its theatrical release day. So that’ll be January or February of 2027. Just in time for Valentine’s Day... I see how it is! But before that, you’ll be able to rent it PVOD-style. That will probably happen in November, maybe early December.

If you want to learn more about the filmmakers, you can stream directors Eleanor Wilson and Ale Huston Fischer’s previous collaboration Save Yourselves! on Netflix. It is nothing like Wicker , but it is a twisted romance of sorts starring Sunita Mani and John Reynolds.

For a similar vibe, check out the underrated romance between a woman played by Tilda Swinton and a genie played by Idris Elba in Three Thousand Years of Longing . There’s also Sally Hawkins and Doug Jones in The Shape of Water . My Colman twisted romance recommendation is The Favourite . It’s not niche. She won an Oscar. But it’s so good! Blake Lively shared her first social media post in months to celebrate her husband Ryan Reynolds’s 50th birthday.

The Gossip Girl actress went makeup-free while sharing a cheeky tribute to the Deadpool actor.

Reynolds called Lively “the best human” he knows in an Instagram tribute for her 39th birthday in August.

Blake Lively put her ongoing banter with husband Ryan Reynolds on display as she marked a major milestone with her first social media post in two months. As Reynolds celebrated his 50th birthday on October 23, Lively went makeup-free to deliver a cheeky tribute to her “manny.”

The Gossip Girl alum paid homage to Reynold’s fur dad skills in an Instagram video, which showed the father-of-four holding one of the couple’s dogs in a black-and-white houndstooth baby carrier. The Deadpool actor, who was dressed in a white long-sleeved shirt and khaki pants, could be seen talking to someone off-screen as an instrumental version of “Rock-a-Bye-Baby” played in the background.

Standing against the backdrop of the couple’s kitchen, Lively went makeup-free in a pair of lime green and periwinkle blue striped pajamas as she rested her hand affectionately on her husband’s back. She styled her long golden blonde waves in an effortless updo secured with a blue claw clip.

“Happy Birthday to my manny, @vancityreynolds,” Lively quipped in the caption. Her birthday ode to Reynolds is her first post since August 23, in which she shared a video of a whimsical birthday cake for her own 39th birthday. At the time, the Deadpool & Wolverine actor shared a photo dump depicting candid moments with his wife and the couple’s daughters James, 11; Inez, 9; and Betty, 6; as well as son Olin, 3.

“August 25th is this family’s Super Bowl,” Reynolds wrote in the caption. “Happy Birthday to the very best human I know. You’re not just another courageous and deeply kind genius. You’re also unreasonably cute. I know how lucky I am that you were born. Every time I’ve ever hit my head, it’s YOUR life that flashes before my eyes.”

It’s the first time that Lively has surfaced on social media since she and Reynolds were dealt a disappointing conclusion to their two-year-long legal drama with Justin Baldoni. On August 26, a judge ruled that the A Simple Favor actress would receive just $400,000 of the over $8 million sum that she sought from Baldoni after they settled their case out of court on May 4.

Bill Maher’s Embarrassing Karoline Leavitt Interview on ‘Real Time’

Bill Maher appears to be on good terms with Trumpworld.

The 70-year-old HBO host joined Kid Rock and Stephen A. Smith as President Trump’s White House dinner guests earlier this month, and, following the dinner, Trump intimated to reporters that Maher’s criticisms of him on his late-night program are mostly bluster, and he “likes me a lot more than people understand.”

“Yeah, I did it again, bitches,” Maher said about his four-hour dinner with Trump during his opening monologue on “Real Time” Friday night , adding, “You know what? Fuck you. I like these dinners.” Related Stories Universal Music Group Hit With Layoffs, Several Senior Execs to Leave Company

Maher then managed to land Karoline Leavitt , Trump’s former press secretary who left the post in August, as an interview guest on his show “Real Time.” It’s a curious pairing given that Maher had previously attacked Leavitt on his program following the then-press secretary’s defense of Trump shouting, “Quiet, piggy!” to Bloomberg News reporter Catherine Lucey when she questioned him about Jeffrey Epstein aboard Air Force One. Leavitt spun the incident by claiming, “It’s actually admirable. It’s the president being frank, open, and honest. It’s actually good,’” prompting Maher to jokingly remark to Leavitt, “Well, in that case: Shut up, bitch .” Popular on Variety

And so, Maher welcomed Leavitt to “Real Time” Friday night where he mostly treated her with kid gloves and poked fun at her successor, Katie Zacharia, for only lasting five days on the job.

“The president sends his regards,” Leavitt told Maher. “I told him I was coming on the show and he said, ‘Tell him he loved that dinner and he knows it.’”

“I do like it,” Maher admitted, before turning the talk back to Leavitt. “You were the youngest one to do this job… So what are you going to do now?”

Leavitt said she left the job to take care of her two young children, who are 2 and six months, and then said she’ll be starting as a Fox News pundit on Nov. 1. No follow-up from Maher about the Trump-Fox News pipeline, but instead a silly rejoinder about how Trump wants to turn the White House press pool into an actual swimming pool.

Cue Maher: “You know what? This is the one thing that people get mad at me [about]… I don’t give a shit about any of this. I like the ballroom! America does need a ballroom. It’s the United States of America.”

The softball questions and flattery didn’t stop there, as Maher asked Leavitt about her penchant for being “sarcastic” and didn’t ask any follow-up questions when she touted Trump’s war with Iran.

Maher delivered a litany of compliments about Trump, saying he “gets it” and, when Leavitt claimed Trump was “far more sane than the last [president]” who was “a mental patient,” Maher replied, “He’s far more energetic.”

It’s another reminder that Maher isn’t a journalist and refuses to challenge the conservative guests on his show. He’s just happy for them to be there.

Who Plays Travis on ‘Nobody Wants This’?

But while we have met a few of Morgan’s (her sister’s) other boyfriends on the Netflix series, Joanne has pretty much only had eyes for Noah, Adam Brody’s character, since the beginning. Until now, that is! Nothing happened, but we did finally meet one of Joanne’s ex-boyfriends in Nobody Wants This : Travis, played by Avan Jogia.

Travis is a classic dirtbag. There’s kind of no other way to describe him. He’s inconsiderate, rude, and hot enough to get away with it for a bit too long. Joanne and Noah discover that Travis lives in their neighborhood. Immediately, Joanne wants to make him jealous. She’s not successful, but Noah tells a white lie to let her believe that she was. In the penultimate episode, “Last Christmas,” we see a little bit of their chaotic relationship. This is the type of hot mess Joanne used to date.

Jogia is a Canadian actor who started working as a teenager. He’s also in a band with his brother called Saint Ivory, has published two books, and started the LGBTQIA+ online group “Straight But Not Narrow” in the 2010s. He’s also engaged to the singer Halsey . Here’s where you’ve seen him on screen before.

You most likely know Jogia as Beck Oliver, boyfriend of Elizabeth Gillies’ character Jade West, on the 2010s Nickelodeon series. Jogia reprised the role on two Victorious video games and a crossover episode of iCarly a.k.a. iParty with Victorious. And the character got a shoutout on Sam & Cat .

Jogia also played Ben Stark in Caprica , the SyFy network Battlestar Galactica prequel series, in 2009. He starred in the ABC Family series Twisted as a teenager who served time in juvenile detention for actual murder. He also starred in indie director Gregg Araki’s television show Now Apocalypse . One of his earliest credits was a supporting role in the Lifetime movie A Girl Like Me: The Gwen Araujo Story .

His movie credits include Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City , Zombieland: Double Tap , Choose Love , The Year of Spectacular Men , The New Romantic, and Our Hero, Balthazar . But earlier this year on the big screen, Jogia was part of a very cool ensemble cast, playing explorer Naren Warne in Kane Parsons’ film Backrooms .

Philadelphia 76ers star LeBron James responded Thursday to President Donald Trump ranting about his actions during the national anthem.

Earlier that day, the president called James a “total disgrace” after a viral video showed him practicing his golf swing before the team’s season opener against the New York Knicks on Tuesday. James then appeared to practice his jump shot as the rest of his teammates stood still beside him.

The clip drew significant backlash from prominent conservative figures, including the likes of Clay Travis, Jon Root, and Laura Ingraham.

“While listening to our National Anthem, LeBron James disrespects our Country!” Trump said in a Truth Social post that included the clip. “I said right from the beginning that he’s no good, a TOTAL DISGRACE. LeBron James should apologize to all of those Great American Warriors and Heroes who died for the American Flag, and all that our Country stands for!”

After the 76ers’ 111-106 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday night, James was asked about becoming Trump’s latest target.

“Unrelated to the game, how do you feel, again, that Trump tried to take shots at you at a speech tonight while you were playing, as well as on social media?” a reporter asked.

James was largely unamused.

“Slow news day the office,” James said. “Slow news day in the office.”
