What is Palm Royale about?
Set in '60s Palm Springs, Palm Royale follows Maxine Simmons (Wiig) as she attempts to reconstruct her id after being dropped by her husband and full social circle. In perhaps a more palatable tackle the trope than Saltburn, the collection sees outsider Maxine attempt to break into the ritzy world of the town's elite. Deadline has dubbed it "a real underdog story" that sees the character question what it takes to get to the highest of excessive society.

Specifically, the ominous teaser seemingly reveals that the collection will hinge on one massive secret ready to be spilled as Wiig's character tries to seek out her place in high society.
